About me

My name is Kirushni and I am 17 years old. In May 2010 both my life and my family’s turned upside down as I was diagnosed with anapaestic large cell lymphoma- a rare type of cancer of the lymphoid tissue.  Unfortunately six  months later when I got the all clear and was in remission, in April 2011 my cancer returned.  Never in a million years did I think I would be in a position where I’ve had to fight for my life, but yet luckily here I am today in remission cherishing every little moment in life. 

I've decided to blog about my battle so other people fighting cancer know they are not alone also i want to raise awareness of childhood cancer  as a lot of people just assume cancer only affects older people but there are many young children and adults fighting this awful disease out there just like me.  

 I am a  typical teenager who loves beauty, fashion and shopping! I am currently in sixth form studying the International Baccalaureate hoping to do something medical in the future.
